Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
Hello Again,
May I have the build sheet for Old Town 172091 15?
It's a 50 pounder .

Thanks, Tim

Hi Tim--- I responded to this earlier, but the reply went into limbo I guess----

Your canoe is a 15 foot 50 pounder built between May 1962 and June 1963 with seats, keel, and outside stems. It originally was dark green and had two painter rings. It was shipped to Ypsilanti. MI, on June 10, 1963.
The scan of this record is attached below-- click on it to get a larger image.

This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you and anyone else reading this will join or renew membership in the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See http://www.wcha.org/wcha/ to learn more about the WCHA and http://www.wcha.org/join.php to renew.

It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.

I hope this works this time!

Thank you,

That is it of course. Pick up one canoe 47 years old 1000 miles from its ship point and another 89 years old five miles from where is spent its entire finished existence. If canoes could talk.
Thanks again.
