Need Help Identifying Make of Canoe

I'm trying to identify this canoe. These photos were sent to me, so I don't have access to measurements or more detailed photos until I see the canoe in person.
My original thought was Penn Yan based on the shape of the decks, the thwarts, and the seats, but the owner had confirmation from a family member that it is not a Penn Yan canoe. There are no markings on the stems. What looks to be a faded circular decal on one of the decks, does not seem readable. Metal stem covers instead of the usual stembands. Seats and thwarts are fastened with countersunk and plugged bolts. Ribs do not appear to taper in width as they approach the gunwales.
Who made this canoe?

I'm told that there are no serial number anywhere - that they may have been sanded off. Looks to me to be a Penn Yan - maybe a Rainbow since I think I see an external stem. Thoughts?

A lot of those details do seem to match. The seats especially look kind of odd and the description there would explain that. Also the stem cover. Thanks!

Agreed, looks like one I had.

The width of those rib tops seems similar as well. Little to no taper.

This was one of the photos I was sent as well. I'm looking through the Mullins catalogs on Wooden Canoe Museum and they mention Buoyancy Pads that were inserted into the ends of the canoe. Looks like this might be one.
