Mystery Sailing Canoe

Hey Guys,
I am working out a deal with a guy who has an old sailing canoe. The only problem is that there is no clear maker. He says it is a 16'11" with a 34" wide.

Anyone with any idea what it is. It is located in Maine so it could be any maker New England or Canadian

My guess would be a Kennebec or a Charles River area builder. It appears to have had some significant repairs in the past so it is hard to know how much is original. Are there any signs of serial numbers on the inside stems or any original short decks under those long decks and can you provide some pictures showing these areas? Thanks,
