Michigan Canoe Nut
The ends of the thwarts were cracked out from the holes, so I dovetailed pcs in, ready to be drilled. Ribs were a pain to bend, check out the tumblehome.

That looks like a good idea for the ends of the thwarts. I've got a couple broken right out at the holes so might give that a try.

Did you bend the rib over the outside of the hull before putting them inside?

Nice job you're doing there. It'll be good to see more as you work along.
 
Yes, ribs bent over the outside, shattered a couple nailing them in too. As discussed in other posts, the rib had to fit well or it aint happinin! I found the tumblehome area difficult to fit the way I wanted. Rollin tells me thats why White tapered the thickness of the rib, its not a natural bend.
