Curious about Wooden Canoes
Hi All,

I thought I should post some photos from a recent day on the lake. Spray Lake is close to Canmore in Kananaskis Country. With about 20km in length its a fairly big lake for our area.

I was paddling with my goddaughter and her husband, both from Switzerland. They paddled my huron canoe and I paddled my newest find solo, a suspected Thompson canoe made in Hairy Hill, Alberta.

We drove about halfway up the lake and paddled the rest. At the end of the day we covered about 20kms, lucky for me the two in the red canoe couldn't paddle in a straight line otherwise I would have had an even harder time to keep up with them.

Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Max
