Curious about Wooden Canoes
Hello everyone, first post here, thx for any info...
Short story, my friend offered me his canoe that has been in his garage in the rafters not used for at least 20 years. All I'm looking for is any info or websites that I can read about to see if I can restore the boat. All I know is that I believe he bought the boat in the early 60's when he saw one when he was in the Adirondacks in NY. He tells me that it is made of Mahogany plywood and it's very brittle. I'm not a wood person and it might be to hard for me to fix but I would like to try...thx for any info...
