Yes, Gord Cole cooked up a great meal and there were many smiles. Skip Izon's Chipmunk canoe was really fun in the small surf of Sunday afternoon. John helped me get set up for sailing in terms of guidance and having some great leeboards. Good times.

Dont underestimate the resolve of Norumbega chapter members. Steve Lapey and Bill Conrad jumped into an old Chestnut i collected on the way up, canvas split right down the shoe keel and leaking like a sieve. Once we hit it with the 100mph tape ( in matching green no less) they were off and into the open water of Georgian Bay, totally fearless.

Here is my Lakefield with a Tyvek lateen sail to compete in the jury-rigged category with the above Chestnut.

It sailed well in the light breeze of Sunday. The Peterborough? leeboards form John H. were a perfect fit. I have since run them with straps around the cross-member and back to the center thwart to resist the leeboards swinging back out of vertical.
