Keel removal pulled up filler exposing canvas weave...now what?

Enthusiastic about Wooden Canoes
I decided to replace a cracked keel. In the process of removing the keel some filler stuck to the bottom of the keel and lifted away from the canvas. Now some canvas is visible and devoid of filler directly under where the new keel will be mounted. What are my options to deal with the visible canvas? I will be re-painting the entire canoe and the canvas/filler on the rest of the canoe is in great shape...no need to recanvas in my opinion. Bedding compond will be used on the bottom of the new keel.

Any suggestions about 3M underwater bondo, Interlux epoxy filler, Marine-tex epoxy, or System Three Fairing Compound to cover the canvas weave?
