inwale splice

Greetings;

I'm cutting in an inwale splice, there is a fracture just aft of mid point, and I am wondering how long a section of the old rail I should remove. I know that this has been covered here (several times) but I'm looking for a fresh opinion. I plan on using the T-III glue by itself to secure the new piece.

Remove the fracture and cut a long angle splice. Mine are usually about 9 inches in length.
