INformation on Alaskan Canoe CO

I found a Canoe for sale and the owner says it is "Made by the Alaskan Canoe Company." I have not heard of them, the guy says it is "Canvas and wood lathe" construction. It looks like ribs and planking covered in canvas to me. Any information about this canoe would be appriciated.
