I agree Michael. And, I am fully aware that I am at "that point" where...it's up to me. There is a point at which research ends, and doing begins. My next step, regardless of maker or woodworking methods is to accept that the shape I'm working with is acceptable, and take lines from the skiff, and loft the curves, cut stations, and construct the strongback and mould for the new build. Ultimately, this new build is a modern interpretation, using modern methods, but with original lines, and parts that I can re-use from the original. A 1" difference in the keel line and determining the width at the sheer mid-ship are the two biggies I need to make peace with before taking lines. My goal is to have the mould built by the end of next week.
