I just aquired this canoe yesterday and I have been trying to figure out who made it!! Does any one have any idea? The seat has been redone with what appears to be kind of like plastic rope,definatly not original, the wood the seat is made of is oak, and it appears that there was a plate on the bow plate as you can see in the photos (2 tiny round top nails). It is 15 ft long 35 inches wide and 12 inches deep. I tried to get what I thought was important photos. I hope some one can help, I think I have a big project in front of me.
