LOVES Wooden Canoes
I’m halfway through re-reading Huck Finn, last I read it was in high school and probably read it poorly then.
Huck finds and uses several canoes on the river as he journeys down stream. What kind of canoe would be be finding in that era and part of the country? I was picturing a bark canoe, but maybe it’s just more of a logger’s single person bateau or something of the sort? Or maybe some kind of lapstrake canoe?
