Car top or little trailer?

Anyone know what will chew up more gas?
Canoe on top of the car or on a little harbor freight like trailer behind the car?

Go for the trailer

The trailer will not cause any drag. I pulled one for years and never noticed it back there!
Buy a 4 X 4 trailer from somewhere like Walmart, bolt on a couple of old roof racks and attach the car top carrier to that. I even added extra running lights to the box.
This plan also leaves room up top for a canoe.
Actually, mine is for sale! <grin>
