Build Date for Old Town Boat

I just aquired an Old Town Boat. I believe it to be a Charles River Run About.
It has sponsons and has serial # 14. Any info on this Boat would be appreciated.

The Old Town canoe with serial number 14 is a 16 foot long, all cedar model so that probably isn't yours. My guess is that you have a 14 foot long boat and that the rest of the number is hidden. You may want to take a look at the information at http://forums.wcha.org/showthread.php?t=791 to see if you can find the missing digits. These numbers on boats will also occasionally be found on the edge of the transom or on the top of the center angle brace which supports the transom from the inside. Feel free to reply here when you find the rest of the number if you have any other questions.
