Morris 4027 hasn't been submitted to the database, so you know more about it physically than I do. About all I can offer is:
1. Because the serial number plate is on the gunwale (and assuming the plate is oval), the canoe would be a BN Morris and not the factory-direct Veazie model, examples of which have low serial numbers but they are on rectangular tags on the stem.
2. #4027 was likely shipped in 1906-07... according to our current theory of Morris serial number interpretation.
3. The decal that once was applied to this canoe (is it still there?) would have said "Canvas, Paddling & Rowing Canoe" rather than the later version which replaced "Rowing" with "Motor".
If you can share details of this canoe (length, and anything else descriptive) I'd appreciate it! Pictures are nice...
