I've seen your pictures at http://forums.wcha.org/showthread.php?9118 but don't recognize the canoe. We only have records from a few canoe companies and none of them contain any eight digit serial numbers. Sorry,

It is rarely safe to 'assume' anything about old canoes but it doesn't seem likely that a small home builder would bother to add a large number to the stems of their canoe.
