Adirondack Guide Paddle

Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
Jean and I bought an unusual paddle yesterday. Credit is given to Robert Ross who had a picture of a pair of similar paddles on his website and identified this one ahead of our purchase. Our paddle is 64.25" long, blade is 28" long and 4.38" wide and the shaft is a consistent 7/8" diameter. Paddle is made of Maple or some other closed grain hardwood. It is very thin and light. See the attached link and pictures. No history was available from the seller. The grumpy looking old guy holding our new paddle is me.
