#710516 LA_GF_____ Canoe Co?

Researching a 16-foot square stern freighter with serial number 710516. The deckplate decal is peeling off but LA_GF______ Canoe is visible.

Believe the boat was new in the mid 1960s. This is a beamy boat- 40-5/8".
