Museum of Natural History
Don't forget the Museum of Natural History in NYC. They have an extensive collection of aboriginal canoes and kayaks which they collected from around the world. I got a private tour of their store rooms back in the early '90s and was quite impressed. Their collection consisted of mostly dugouts and skin on frame kayaks but I do recall a bark boat or two.
