Looking to repaint my 1957 50lb after restoration. Can anyone confirm if their was a new paint scheme advertised in the 1957 OT catalog?

The new Old Town paint design introduced in 1957 was for lapstrake boats. It had a solid color along the rail with each lower strake a slightly lighter shade until the bottom was white. These were known as rainbow boats but this was never done on a canoe as far as I know. The back cover of the catalog attached below describes this and shows an example. It also shows the canoe paint design numbers 4, 37, 45, and 46 which had been first introduced in the 1920s and 1930s. Page 34 is also attached below which describes some other paint design options.
