1941 Old Town HW Canoe For Abercrombie and Fitch

I have what I believe is an Old Town Canoe HW model made in 1941. I think the serial # is 0866C this is etched into one of the ribs . There are no numbers on any of the plates that I can find. I am looking for any information. It is in excellent condition and I would love to know the value, history, etc.

An Old Town built in 1941 should have a number with 6 digits, something like 130,000 - 17, with the length being separated from the serial number. The serial number would have been stamped into the stems, on the floor, on both ends of the canoe. Please take another look and update the serial number. Tom McCloud

Thx Tom, I am not where the canoe is being stored so as soon as I have a chance and find that info I will post again.
