LOVES Wooden Canoes
Purchased this latest OT to the fleet last night. It has interesting mahogany rub rails that appear factory installed. Interested to see if this is noted on the build sheet.
Thanx,
Ed

The Old Town with serial number 207927 is an 18 foot long, Guide's model with a keel and mahogany rub rails. It was built between May, 1975 and January, 1977. The exterior paint color was red. It was shipped on January 27th, 1977 to Duluth, Minn. The back side of the card shows that it was purchased in Duluth on May 25th, 1979. Scans showing both sides of this build record can be found by following the links at the attached thumbnail images below.

These scans and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See http://www.wcha.org/wcha/ to learn more about the WCHA and http://www.wcha.org/join.php to join.

It is also possible that they could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.
