For anyone in the area this could be a fun day. The Grand River (Ontario) is full of history and a fun paddle. The section through Elora is a whitewater training / playground but the rest is easy flat water. The 1000 Canoes on the Grand is billed as a National Canoe Day event and will cover a very historic part of the river.
