It's a sickness... I now have 3 wood and canvas canoes. One in useable form, one having the fiberglass removed (a pox on all people who fiberglass their wood and canvas canoes!) and a new arrival.
The new arrival is a Chestnut with a serial number of 24265. The decal says Oromocto NB so I assume it's from the latter days of the Chestnut company.
I thought it might have been a PAL, but I'm no longer sure. Whatever it is, it had an easy life until one ill fated trip down the Miramichi. The old fellow who was resurrecting it just lost interest, so in I step.
