    Just to complete the circle on this...

    Today I travelled across to central England so that Pete, who gifted me the canoe last year could see the finished article and to paddle the canoe.

    We had a grand day out on the river Soar capped off by a beer and a pie in a riverside pub which are now open again.

    Pete was very happy with what I had done; the canoe is named "Lilly" after his grand daughter who used to enjoy going out in the canoe with her grand pops.

    Job done!

    Great ending, Nick! Though I expect its not really an ending, as this canoe has a lot more adventures to look forward to.
