my canoe is an old wood and canvas. I have the serial number ons46281? I would like to know all possible information on this number please.when and where was it made thank you.

That serial number inidicates your canoe is a Penn Yan Owasco model, 16 feet in length with spruce gunwales. It was probably built in 1946. Penn Yan Boat Company was located in Penn Yan, NY.
