What kind of canoe have I found ?

I found this old canoe with no manufacturer tag. It has painted on very faint : Abercrombie Fitch.
17 feet long, 40 inches wide, 14 inches deep, and only 42 pounds. The wood is approximately 0.125 inches thick X 2 inches wide.
Was this possibly a display model or is it unfinished?

At 42 pounds, I’m guessing that it has varnish on the hull and was a display.
The arrowhead decks are reminiscent of a St Louis Canoe, but I don’t think it is. It would have serial numbers stamped in the stems if it was built by St Louis traceable to a build year.
As it is, it won’t float. You will need to stretch canvas over the hull, apply filler and paint to make it serviceable.

To my eye that looks like a Canadian built canoe and in particular, a Bastien Brothers.
