At 42 pounds, I’d say the hull has been varnished and used as a display. It would be heavier if it had canvas, which is preferred, or fiberglass on it.
If the hull is only varnished, it will need to be canvassed for it to float and be used on water.
The decks are reminiscent of a St Louis Canoe, but I don’t think it is. If it is, there would be serial numbers on the stems, which can be traced to a build date.
