Curious about Wooden Canoes
we took this trip a few weeks ago. We have done this every year for the past 12 years. This is truly a trip of a life time. We arive in Newcomb on monday night, stay at the bed and breakfast. On Tuesday morning after our last real breakfast, we meet the horse and wagon.
Load up about 1200 lbs of gear plus 3 old town canoes. Then ride and hike back in 5 miles to the main lodge. Then unload and load our canoes then venture 45 minutes accross to arrive at our destination (the rock). This is our camp for 5 days and 4 nights. We canoe up beaver dams and in the local feeder streams/brooks at Newcomb. We had great weather great times with family and friends.
This is as I said a trip of a life time. I hope you all enjoy the pictures.
