The Upper Chesapeake Chapter, the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum and the Chesapeake Wooden Boat Builders School held the 4th Annual Wooden Canoe Rendezvous at the museum today. After the mandatory morning rain shower, the remainder of the day was much improved and a good time was had.
A war canoe was canvassed, 7 ribs were steamed for a 1911 Old Town - and 4 tacked in place - and a large number of folks came by to discuss wooden canoes. 7 members of the WCHA and chapter were in attendance, as well as an additional 9 members of the boat school and assorted wives, family and friends.
We missed Mac.
