Unknown Canoe

I'm restoring this canoe which has few distinctive features other than a thicker stem than most and a deck like a Kennebeck. Although it may not be an original deck. The ribs are the same width with no tapering as they roll up the sides. The planking is the standard pattern as found in Old Towns and was installed better than most canoes I have worked with. So whomever built it had quality in mind. Hopefully the pictures will reveal the manufacturer. Thanks. Wayne

I don't recognize it although more pictures might help. A heart shaped deck occasionally indicates a canoe made by a small builder from Maine and the list at http://wcha.org/legacypages/maine-list.htm shows that there are well over a hundred possibilities.
