Enthusiastic about Wooden Canoes
Hi
Looking for the maker of this canoe. Midwest or Canadian? Has Traveller Model Tag. Quite a bit of recurve on the stems. 16' set up like a 15 footer with one thwart. Straight ribs- maybe 1 3/4 wide. White cedar planks.
Thanks for any help with ID. Kevin

I've not been able to find any reference to this model either. A 17 foot long square stern Peterborough canoe was called the Traveller but this doesn't look like one of those. The straight ribs and torpedo stems may indicate a Charles River area builder. Please reply here if you figure it out,

I have also come across one of these "Traveller" canoes near Ottawa, Canada. Must be Canadian given the correct spelling ;) but does anyone have any further ideas on the builder?
