I have been extending the Old Town Canoe company build record project and scanned the 218,000 box yesterday. The attached record for an Otca with serial number 218241 drew my eye among all of the other plastic canoes from that era. The name of the person on the back side who returned the warranty registration card caught my attention even more since this is about a year before they founded the WCHA. Jill Dean reports that this canoe is still providing good service at her brother's cottage in northern Wisconsin and that she padded it on a visit in July.
