I spotted a wooden canoe in a classified ad and bought it the same evening in the dark. 15' feet long, 34 inches wide, 55 pounds, contoured yoke, Shallow V hull, just the boat I was looking for. It was just light enough to make me fall in love with it. The seller couldn't say much about the boat, just that it was 30-40 years old. The next morning, I was surprised to discover a plaque on the deck:
Stripper Canoe Company, Sherbrooke, Quebec, CAN.
A real Canadian canoe. it was like winning the grand prize in a lottery. The boat runs tandem and solo like a dream.
Google does not know the Stripper Canoe Company. Can anyone here tell me something about this company and their boats?
