Just finished my 1945 era Penn Yan Cartopper. Here are some before and after pictures. I've canvas 4 or 5 canoes before but for this one I tried the Dacron method and I am a convert. No more streching and nailing. Simply flow the material over the boat and tack it with an iron to the water based glue around the outer edge then iron out the wrinkles. I did the whole boat in 45 minutes without a helper or a come-a-long. So smooth and much less filler. Nicest smooth job I ever did.
