It is my sad duty to report that the scanned Old Town records stop just over serial number 250000 in 1984 so no one here can provide more detailed information for your serial number. The hull identification number indicates that it was made by Old Town in September, 1997 for the 1998 model year. The Discovery series of canoes are not made from Royalex.
