i have an 11 foot old town canvas and wood canoe that i believe was built in 1957 it was given to me and i had it restored about 15 years ago for 1500 dollars it has been in my dads house ever since can anyone tell me about it and can i get my money back if i sell it

The Old Town canoe with serial number 166885 is an 11 foot long, CS(common sense or standard grade Fifty-pound model that was equipped with a keel. It was built in 1957-58, with finishing completed on February 11, 1958. The original color was dark green. It was shipped on June 25, 1958 to Hartford, Conn; it appears from a notation on the back of the build record that an inquiry about this canoe was made in 1984.
