serial number ON8202

My dad got this canoe from the YMCA in Waterbury CN in the 70's. We thought it might be an Old Town but the the seial number doesn't look right. Does anyone know who the manufacture is or where we might find more information about this canoe? Just wondering if we should restore or repair?

Hi,

Looking at the serial number to your canoe, it looks like it is a Penn Yan Owasco. Very pretty canoes with that full semcircle stem profile.

I thought it was ONS202 on one end but the other it looked more like an 8. The site I just found put it between 1933 -1947. I'd like to get the year closer if anyone has more information on the Penn Yan Owasco.
