Serial Number look up

It may take more than a serial number to identify this canoe, especially since letters were not typically mixed with the numbers. You may want to check all of the digits in the serial number again and confirm the overall length in a straight line. The usual format is a four to six digit serial number followed by space then a two digit number that was the length of the canoe in feet. If this canoe was built after 1972 then there should also be a hull identification number just under the rail on the starboard stern. That will start with a three letter alphabetic code that identifies the manufacturer and ends with a two digit year when it was shipped. See http://www.boatsafe.com/nauticalknowhow/hin.htm for more information about these numbers. Some pictures of the serial numbers from each end could also help along with some showing the decks and interior. Thanks,

Benson
