The Old Town canoe with serial number 81388 is shown as 18 feet long, CS (common sense or standard) grade, Otca model with western red cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, birch decks, seats, and thwarts, and equipped with a keel. The canoe was built between October 1923 and March 1924. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It was shipped to Chicago, Illinois on June 11, 1924. A scan of this build record can be found by following the link behind the thumbnail image attached below.
This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. Would you happen to know what the value of this canoe would be? Its in ok condition. It is missing the seats and canvas.

There are many variables in valuing a canoe. Not the least of which is what you mean when you say it's in ok condition.
