Sailing my canoe

I got to sail my canoe for the first time on the Pend Oreille river near Priest river in north Idaho. It is hard to describe the fun I had. I have had the canoe for about ten years and have had it out many times on lots of lakes but not sailing. I need to make a new sail.

I know most people on the forum are from the east so, any map viewer will put you in north Idaho. My next event will be to sail it from Priest lake to upper Priest lake. Great camping area.

Beautiful photo. Inspiring as I'm just about to start restoring an OTCA which has a sailing rig also.
