Does anyone know where to get copper tacks of the style and small sizes that Rushton used for his all-wood canoes? I need very small tacks for fastening planking to planking at the lap joints on a smooth-skin IGO model. Also need slightly larger tacks for fastening planking to ribs.
Both tacks are flat-headed copper. Smaller tacks have head diameter of about 3/16" and length of about 3/8". Larger tacks have head diameter of about 7/32" and probable length of about 5/8". I'd appreciate any help with sources.
Thanks,
Michael
