Curious about Wooden Canoes
Last week I was travelling through the Paul Smiths area, and the road between Gabriels and Saranac Lake was being rebuilt.
The delays on that stretch were considerable, so I enquired at the town offices about the completion date, and was told August 31.
This may not mean that there is major work still going on in July, but can I suggest that anyone else going that way reports on the progress.
If you know that there is going to be a holdup, there is a convenient alternative route which is only slightly longer but it was not on signs so one would need a map.
