Puncture repair?

Chestnuts for life
Hi Folks,
My 16 foot Chestnut Pal got a small puncture during our last move. :(
It just seems to be on the surface, though.
Does anyone have a recommendation on how to fix it?
Thanks very much.

Is it possible that spot has been repaired previously? Is there a shadow of a patch under the tear? The canvas looks dry rotted at the site of the tear. That's a bit worrisome.
As Rob suggests, there are a lot of ways to make a repair. Since it looks like a small split, I'd probably fill it with something and paint over it, presuming you have a bit of that paint remaining. The only precaution is to avoid using a product that has silicon in it.

Thanks. No, there isn't a patch underneath. The photo is a bit misleading with the angle and lighting.
The canoe was in very good shape before the move. Unfortunately, a few things moved around in the moving truck during our 5 day travel across a big chunk of Canada...
