just got a square stern cedar/ canvas 15' long- told it's a chestnut elk but may have been sold as a peterborough. Number stamped on bowstem is 6087. Anyone got a clue? will get pics soon

Peterboroughs usually had 4+4 digits in the serial number, the first set being the model number.
