I have what I think is a very old Peterborough canoe but can't seem to determine its age. The canoe is 13 feet long, has an old Peterborough decal on the bow deck and 7591 stamped below. The canoe came with 2 paddles, one of which also had an old Peterborough decal. The canoe does not have cane seats but rather wooden slats hung from below. I have owned the canoe since 1978 and haven't had it in the water for at least 20 years as it needs a new canvas. I have only seen one other canoe like it (see attached image), and the owner said that it belonged to her dad who lived and worked in Algonquin Park in the late 20's and she referred to it as a trapper model.
