Peterborough canoe

1492 6586 is the serial number. About 31” beam from outer ribs. Planking sized cant ribs. Any input is appreciated. Low sheer.

Champlain model, though there’s also a Champlain model #1434. Catalog states 34” width but that may be outside of outwales. This is from the 1930 Peterborough catalog via the Wooden Canoe Museum.

Low end Champlain, more plumb stem that the high end which has more recurve. My fav Peterborough, great paddler and sailing canoe.

I have a Low End Champlain, 1492 2828,
it's the only canoe I've kept (other then collectors) during my downsizing. because it paddles so well.
