The Old Town canoe with serial number 146762 is a 17 foot long, AA (or top) grade, Otca model with open ash gunwales, ash decks, ash thwarts, ash slat seats, a keel, and a floor rack. It was built between October and December, 1946. The original exterior paint was dark green. It shipped on January 5th, 1947 to Detroit, Michigan. Thank you Benson for the information. I just renewed my membership as I forgot that it had expired. This Otca broke in half 15 years ago on my trailer in Detroit as I was bringing it home to Georgia. It has sat upright under my porch waiting its time to be restored.
