Otca 141272-16

I am currently in the process of restoring this Otca. I have the build sheet, so I have most of the info for the canoe. What I'm interested in is deciphering the color. DK. Green is obvious, but it is followed by what looks like G.S. ??? bottom. Any input would be helpful.

Let me add that this is a fantastic website! All the input here is amazing. Lots of great stuff. I read for hours.

GS generally stood for "Guides Special" a grassy, medium green.

Thanks for the reply. After reading your reply I looked at other build records that had the same color noted. I had not notices it before. Now my follow-up question. Since it says DK GREEN first and then it's followed by G.S. Green Bottom might this Otca have been a two tone. Dark green on top with the Guide Special green on the bottom?

I have a 1938 rowboat that was painted 2 tone, dark green upper, and GS green lower. It looks kinda sexy!
